From Vienna International Airport

 

Taxi

The taxi stand at the airport is at the exit of the Arrival Hall. It takes about 30-45 minutes to get to the venue. 


 

Airport Bus Shuttle

There are regular buses from the airport to
     - Wien Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz (with connection to undergrounds U1 and U4)
     - Wien Dörfelstrasse/Meidling (with connection to underground U6)
     - Wien Westbahnhof (with connection to undergrounds U3 and U6)

The bus stop is directly in front of the airport arrival hall. Buses leave every 20-30 minutes. The travel time to Vienna city center is about 30 minutes. To get to the symposium venue, we recommend taking the bus to Wien Morzinplatz/ Schwedenplatz. 

From there, take the underground U4, direction Heiligenstadt. Get off at Spittelau, change to the underground U6, direction Siebenhirten. Get off at at Nußdorfer Straße. From the stop Nußdorfer Straße, you have several options to get to the venue:

-  Take a walk through the Währinger Park (12 minutes) to the symposium venue.

- Take the bus 37A, direction Währinger Park, and get off at the stop Währinger Park. Take a 2-minute walk down the road to the symposium venue. 

- Take the bus 35A, direction Salmannsdorf, and get off at the stop Währinger Park. Take a 2-minute walk down the road to the symposium venue. 

N.B. The tickets are only valid for the shuttle bus, but not for public transport (underground, tram, bus) in Vienna.

Train or City Airport Train (CAT)

There are two options to travel from the airport to the city center by train:

a) S-Bahn: To get to the train station at the airport, follow the sign "S-Bahn" in the airport arrival hall. Take the train line "S 7" and get off at Wien Mitte - Landstrasse

The tickets are available from the ticket machine in the train station at the airport. You have to buy a ticket for two zones (€ 4,20). The ticket is also valid for your onward travel by the public transport in Vienna.

b) City Airport Train (CAT): To get to the CAT station, follow the signs at the airport. CAT is the fastest way to get to the city center, with running time of approx. 16 minutes.

Onward travel for the options a) and b) to the symposium venue from the train station Wien Mitte - Landstrasse:

Change to the underground U4, direction Heiligenstadt. Get off at Spittelau, change to the underground U6, direction Siebenhirten. Get off at at Nußdorfer Straße. From the stop Nußdorfer Straße, you have several options to get to the venue:
